The Journey of Deliverance Church Riruta
Founded in Faith
Deliverance Church Riruta was established in 1982 as part of the larger Deliverance Church movement in Kenya. What began as a small prayer group meeting in a home has grown into a vibrant congregation of believers passionate about serving God and the community.
Through faith, perseverance, and the grace of God, our church has expanded not only in numbers but also in its impact on the community. Today, we stand as a beacon of hope and transformation in Riruta and beyond.
Our Journey Through the Years
A Small Beginning
The church began as a humble prayer fellowship in a member's home, where believers gathered regularly for prayer and Bible study, united by a shared faith and vision.
First Church Building
With growing numbers, the congregation acquired a small property and constructed our first church building, seating 100 people.
Community Growth
As the church grew, we expanded our outreach efforts and established key ministry departments to better serve the spiritual and practical needs of the community.
Expansion and Growth
The church purchased our current property on Macharia Road and began construction on a larger sanctuary to accommodate the growing congregation of over 200 members.
Community Impact
Launched the New Life Training Class to equip members of the DC Riruta community with foundational Christian teachings and practical life skills.
Today: A Thriving Ministry
Today, Deliverance Church International Riruta has grown to a congregation of over 800 members, with multiple services, thriving ministries, and continued community impact. We continue to expand our reach through digital platforms and partnerships.
